Patients have been wary of dental x-rays in the past. You may have memories of being uncomfortable, and then waiting long periods of time while the dentist examined the tiny 2 x 2 inch image that appeared cloudy and not terribly readable to you. Plus - what's this you hear about radiation? The world of dental x-rays has evolved drastically. We now use digital technology for our dental x-rays and you will like the difference.
How are Digital X-rays different? We are now able to take images that will appear on a computer screen right next to your chair immediately. These images are much ,more clear, they are able to enlarge at a high resolution, and should you want a second opinion, we can email them to an associate immediately. Since the images are able to be saved with your file in our computer system, we are able to pull up old images and make comparisons when needed. Additionally, the radiation exposure if significantly less, around 75-80% less.
