Several restorative options exist, and we are here to give you some facts in case you have teeth you need to fix. One of your options is dental bonding, but it is not your only option. Keep reading for ideas on restoring your missing, broken or chipped teeth. What Is Dental Bonding? We may choose to talk to you about dental bonding for your teeth. Dental bonding means that a dentist uses a resin to fix one or more teeth for you. The resin can be custom shaded to match your other teeth, and then sculpted and polished. Once we are finished, teeth that have been bonded are difficult to tell apart from teeth that have not been bonded. Bonding can be used to fix teeth that have chips in them. Bonding can also be used for small cracks in teeth. In addition, if one or more of your teeth are missing enamel, bonding can help replace your enamel. Bonding can also be used to fix teeth that are discolored, or misaligned. Gaps can be fixed through bonding as well. Also, bonding is very cost-effective. However, there are cases in which bonding might not be the right choice for you. Other Options There are cases in which bonding is not the best choice. For example, if you have missing teeth, dental implants or partial bridges may be a better option for you. In addition, if only one of your teeth is broken, your dentist may want to place a crown on your tooth. The only way to make sure you get the right treatment for your teeth is to give us a call.
