 In the past, we used to take pictures for events like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve, birthdays and weddings. While some people took candid shots, not everyone did, and you just didn't see people in photos the way you used to. These days, the prevalence of social media means that we are taking pictures of ourselves and each other all the time.
